About
Active since 2005, this Dutch soul outfit blends soul, jazz, hip hop and improvisation into something that resists easy categorisation. Groove and musical craft sit at the core of their sound, but there is always room for experiment, and their live shows lean hard into that spirit: songs shift shape from night to night, making each performance genuinely different from the last. Liquid Spirits have five albums to their name and a solid standing in the Dutch soul and jazz scene. Their album Years earned them a Sublime Award for Best Album and a nomination for a Edison Jazz Award, and their catalogue has surpassed 5.5 million streams on Spotify. Frontman Ivan 'vAn' Peroti brings a distinctive voice and socially engaged lyrics that give the band's sound an extra layer of purpose.
