Loes de Jong

Loes de Jong started playing piano at age seven and went on to study at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where she earned her bachelor's degree in classical piano performance in 2024. Her teachers along the way included Marjes Benoist and Denys Proshayev. She has picked up a solid string of competition prizes, including first place at Tilburg op Vleugels with works by Tilburg composer Jo Sporck, prizes at the Prinses Christina Concours, and third place at the Globe International Piano Competition. In the final of the Young Classical Talent Award she performed Bach's Piano Concerto in D minor as a soloist with orchestra Kamerata Zuid under Frank Adams. Her programming tends to centre on core classical repertoire, think Bach, Chopin and Beethoven, shaped with the goal of making that music feel genuinely accessible to listeners who didn't grow up with concert halls.
