About
Loes Luca is an actress, singer and cabaret performer who has been winning over Dutch audiences since the 1980s, appearing in film classics such as Spetters, Het meisje met het rode haar, De Noorderlingen and the beloved Ja zuster, nee zuster. On stage she brings a distinctive mix of warmth, humour and musical flair that crosses the line between theatre and concert. Teaming up with The Ramblers, the oldest professional jazz orchestra in the Netherlands, founded in 1926 and now a 12 piece ensemble led by trumpeter and composer Loet van der Lee, she takes audiences through a sweep of Dutch musical history. The repertoire ranges from songs like Wie is Loesje and Weet je nog wel, die avond in de regen to swinging arrangements of material from Ja zuster, nee zuster and 't Schaep met de 5 Pooten, alongside jazz standards including Strike Up The Band, Avalon and Farewell Blues.
