Lonnie Gordon is probably best known for "Happenin' All Over Again", the 1990 banger she recorded with production legends Stock Aitken and Waterman that shot to No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart and swept across Europe. The Philadelphia born, London adopted singer had been building her chops in clubs and as a featured vocalist on house records before that breakthrough, and she never let up after it. "Gonna Catch You", written and produced by Italian house act Black Box, went to No. 1 on the US Dance chart in 1991, partly helped along by its placement in the Vanilla Ice film Cool As Ice. Her 1993 album Bad Mood on SBK Records added two more US Dance chart toppers, including a remixed version of her signature hit. She later took a sharp turn into live performance, landing the lead vocalist and narrator role in Cirque du Soleil's Las Vegas show Zumanity in 2002. After that she kept busy touring the UK and Europe and in 2007 launched her own imprint, Gordon Records, releasing compilation albums packed with new material alongside her catalogue.
