About
Also known as: Louis Troy Austin, Louis William Tomlinson
Louis Tomlinson went from being a rejected X Factor solo contestant to a founding member of One Direction, one of the best selling boy bands of all time. After the group went on hiatus in 2016, he stepped out on his own with a string of solo singles before releasing his debut album Walls in 2020. His sound sits somewhere in the territory of indie pop, Britpop and indie rock, and he has been particularly praised for his lyricism. His second album Faith in the Future debuted at number one in the UK in 2022, and the world tour that followed earned a nomination for best Live Act from Rolling Stone at their inaugural Rolling Stone UK Awards. A documentary film, All of Those Voices, also picked up positive reviews. His third album How Did I Get Here? hit number one in the UK as well. Away from music, he curates the Away From Home Festival, an indie music festival, and launched his streetwear brand 28 in 2023.
