About
Lovex came out of Tampere, Finland, with a glam tinged, gothic flavoured take on rock and a habit of every member going by a stage name. After forming around 2001 and 2002, they landed a record deal with EMI Finland and broke through with the single "Guardian Angel", which turned into a huge hit at home in early 2006. Their debut album, Divine Insanity, followed that March, and the band later pushed into Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Japan. They also took part in the Eurovision song contest in 2007 with "Anyone, Anymore". Five albums arrived over the years: Divine Insanity, Pretend or Surrender, Watch Out!, State of Mind and Dust to Diamonds. Watch Out! in 2011 spawned "U.S.A.", with a video shot in both the States and Finland, and the band kept the video releases coming with clips like "Action", "Don Juan" and "Miracle" in 2013. In 2016 they went on an indefinite hiatus.
