About
Lucas Jussen is a classical pianist from Hilversum who regularly performs alongside his brother Arthur Jussen as a piano duo. Together they take on a wide range of repertoire, moving from Bach and Brahms through to contemporary works. One of their signature pieces is Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, which they perform in a version arranged for two pianos. They have played at Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, a venue they describe as intimidating in the best possible sense when it is just the two grand pianos on stage. Their programmes tend to span centuries and styles, showcasing a broad palette of pianistic colour.
