About
Luna Li is a Toronto based singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist who can pick up pretty much any instrument and make it work. Born Hannah Bussiere Kim, she plays harp, violin, guitar, keyboard, bass, and drums, and during the early months of the COVID pandemic she turned that into a superpower: her home recorded multi instrumental jam sessions went viral on social media and introduced her to a much wider audience. That momentum led to a deal with AWAL and the release of her debut album Duality in 2022, which earned a Juno Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year. The track Silver Into Rain, featuring Beabadoobee, won her the 2023 SOCAN Songwriting Prize. She has toured alongside Japanese Breakfast and Wolf Alice, and even appeared on Saturday Night Live as a violinist for Japanese Breakfast. Her second album, When a Thought Grows Wings, arrived in 2024.
