MØL have carved out a distinct corner of the metal world by blending the icy ferocity of black metal with the lush, reverb soaked textures of shoegaze, a sound their Aarhus fanbase knew well before the rest of the world caught on. Their 2018 debut album Jord, released through Holy Roar Records and picked up by Deathwish Inc. in the US, put them firmly on the map. The follow up, Diorama, arrived in 2021 on Nuclear Blast and pushed their atmospheric approach further, pairing vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf's raw delivery with walls of guitar from Nicolai Hansen and Sigurd Kehlet. In early 2026 the band released their third album, Dreamcrush, again on Nuclear Blast. The record was preceded by three singles, Garland, Young and Crush, rolled out in the final months of 2025 and into January 2026. Guitarist Sigurd Kehlet, who had been a live member since 2019, officially joined as a full member at the start of 2025.
