Mad Sin have been shaking up the psychobilly world since 1987, when Berlin locals Koefte De Ville and guitarist Stein first started hustling gigs in the city's shadier bars and busking in shopping malls for tourist money. That scrappy, anything goes attitude never really left them, and their sound grew to pull in punk, country, metal and what The Prague Post neatly called "a sped up combination of rockabilly, punk, white trash blues and tongue in cheek sarcasm". By the time they hit their twelfth album Unbreakable, released in 2020 on Century Media, they had built one of the most extensive catalogs in psychobilly, stretching back to their debut Chills and Thrills in a Drama of Mad Sins and Mystery in 1988. They refuse to stay boxed into one genre, weaving horror drenched lyrics into arrangements that veer well beyond the psychobilly tag, and with guest vocalists ranging from Lars Frederiksen to, of all people, Hulk Hogan, dull is never really on the menu.
