About
Magic Sword are a synthwave trio from Boise, Idaho, who have built an entire mythology around their music. They perform in cloaks and masks, never revealing their identities, and their albums follow a fictional storyline about immortal beings connected to a magical sword. The three members go by The Keeper, The Seer, and The Weaver, each with a distinct colour coded mask. Their songs "In The Face Of Evil" and "The Way Home" landed in the video game Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, and "In The Face Of Evil" also turned up in the official trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, introducing their cinematic, synth heavy sound to a massive audience. Since signing to Joyful Noise Recordings in 2019 they have kept a steady pace, with the album Badlands arriving in 2023 and Singularity following in 2025.
