About
Mallissa Raghoenandan plays Nederpop, and she has taken that sound to stages like MEZZ and Breda Barst. She's just as invested in other people's stage time as her own, though. She set up FCKUPCLASS, a series of events built for people who haven't played live much, or at all, and want to build up their confidence in front of an audience. That coaching streak carries over into her work as a jam session leader. She's the kind of host who gets beginners and seasoned players alike up on stage and connects them with other musicians, whether they want to run through a cover or go fully freestyle. Her home turf is Breda, where she has led sessions at Poppodium Phoenix. Our database lists her under jazz.
