About
MarbleTones play blues the way it was meant to feel: loose, celebratory, and impossible to sit still to. Their sound sits firmly in the fifties swing blues tradition, mixing original songs with classics by the likes of Little Walter and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. The band formed in 2001 and has spent two decades gigging across the Netherlands and well beyond, taking their show to Finland, England and as far as San Francisco. Three albums in, the lineup is a tight four piece: Anne Maarten van Heuvelen on vocals and bass, Ben Bouman on harmonica, Bert de Jonge on drums, and guitarist Arie Jan Folkerts, who also doubles as a tube amp technician.
