About
Marc Rebillet builds entire songs from scratch, live, using a loop station, keyboard, and whatever comes out of his mouth in the moment. The Dallas born, New York based musician turned his bedroom improvisation sessions into a serious career by posting them on YouTube and Twitch, where his mix of funk, neo soul, and free flowing comedy lyrics found a massive audience. His first Quarantine Livestream Tour show pulled in over 1.57 million viewers and raised more than $34,000 for charity, which is a pretty wild number for a guy who was still waiting tables in Deep Ellum not long before. He has three studio albums out under his own name, plus work released under the alias leae, covering a range of moods from slick R&B to full on funktronica chaos. He has shared streams with the likes of Erykah Badu, Flying Lotus, and DJ Premier, and somehow ended up in a German supermarket commercial playing vegetables as instruments. The content of his streams swings between romance, absurdist humor, and requests phoned in by fans, which keeps things genuinely unpredictable.
