About
Marco Castello is an Italian singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist from Syracuse whose sound sits at the crossroads of jazz and pop, shaped in part by years touring and recording with Norwegian artist Erlend Øye as part of his band La Comitiva. His 2021 debut album Contenta tu was recorded in Berlin and produced by two members of The Whitest Boy Alive, giving it a polished yet intimate feel. His 2022 collaboration with Fulminacci, the single Magari, landed at number three on Rolling Stone Italia's list of the ten best Italian songs of that year. In 2023 Castello founded his own label, Megghiu Suli, and released his second album Pezzi della sera under it. He also teamed up with Calibro 35 to record a cover of Lucio Dalla's Lunedì Cinema, which led off the band's EP Jazzploitation. His third album, Quaglia sovversiva, came out in December 2025.
