Norwegian twin duo Marcus & Martinus, full names Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen from Elverum, first caught attention in 2012 when they won the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix Junior with their song "To dråper vann". Their debut album "Hei" followed in 2015 and climbed to number one in the Norwegian VG lista, spending twenty weeks in the top ten. Collaborations with Katastrofe and Innertier gave their early singles extra edge, while later team ups with Madcon and Samantha J pushed them toward a broader, English language audience with tracks like "Girls" and "Light It Up". Their 2016 album "Together" marked a deliberate shift to English, and they performed at the Nobel Prize Peace Concert that same year. In 2022 they won the Swedish Masked Singer competition, and in 2024 they won Melodifestivalen, earning the right to represent Sweden at Eurovision in Malmö, where they finished ninth.
