About
Marie Key is a Danish pop singer and songwriter based in Copenhagen who built her name through a run of smartly crafted urban pop. She first turned heads with her debut single "Se nu herhen", lifted from her debut album "I byen igen", and then went a step further with her second solo album "De her dage", which hit number one on the Danish Album Charts. Before going solo, she fronted the Marie Key Band from 2002, a Copenhagen outfit that blended pop with an urban edge and scored notable hits with "Per" and "Kleptoman". In that band she handled lead vocals, guitar, and songwriting, sharing the stage with Jakob Thorkild on guitar, Marie Louise von Bülow on double bass, and Mads Andersen on drums.
