About
Marou & Massin are a hip hop duo from Purmerend who have been making music together since 2017. Their sound covers a lot of ground within the genre: hard bars and layered, ambiguous lyrics sit alongside more dancefloor friendly tracks like 'Geen Love' and 'Huismuziek', which lean into afro trap and melodic hooks. On 'Greed' they take a more confrontational angle, addressing greed, propaganda and the role of media. The pair have built their reputation through live shows, including appearances at Zwarte Cross, an opening slot for Talib Kweli, and a Zomersessie for 101Barz. They have also released a debut album.
