About
Martha Scanlan is a Montana based singer songwriter whose song "Higher Rock" ended up on Robert Plant's 2025 release with his band Saving Grace. Before that, she had already landed on a pretty big stage as a member of the Reeltime Travelers, who appeared on T Bone Burnett's soundtrack for the 2003 film Cold Mountain. She has four solo albums to her name, plus a collaborative project with Portland musician and producer Jon Neufeld. Her radio and stage credits read like a tour of American roots broadcasting: The Bob Edwards Show, NPR's What's In A Song, Mountain Stage, Etown and Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour. She tours nationally and internationally, so there's a fair chance she's played somewhere near you.
