About
Martim is the solo project of Dutch multi instrumentalist Martijn Luijk, built around intimate, atmospheric folk music that weaves together poetic lyrics, virtuoso guitar work, and a warm, dark voice spanning more than four octaves. His songs sit somewhere between lightness and melancholy, drifting between contrasting emotions while always leaning toward warmth. After years of refining his sound and supporting other musical projects, Luijk released his first music as Martim in early 2025. Despite being a newcomer to the scene, he has already performed at TivoliVredenburg twice, which is a notable early milestone for any Dutch independent artist finding their footing in the singer songwriter and folk world.
