About
Martin Stadtfeld is a German classical pianist from Koblenz whose career got a major boost when he won first prize at the International Bach Competition in Leipzig. That victory put him on the map as a serious interpreter of Bach and baroque repertoire, and he has been recording for Sony Classical ever since. His playing sits firmly in the classical and baroque tradition, with a precision and depth that have kept him in demand as a concert pianist. He studied at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts under professor Lev Natochenny, and the rigorous foundation he built there is audible in everything he does.
