German dance project Master Blaster built their reputation on mining the best of Italo disco, sampling classic hits and turning them into floor ready club tracks. Their biggest moment came with 'Hypnotic Tango', a rework of the My Mine original that cracked the top 10 of the Media Control Charts in 2002, scored a hit across Austria, France, Switzerland, and the UK, and earned the group an Echo nomination. Their debut album We Love Italo Disco doubled down on that same sample heavy approach, weaving a string of recognisable Italo hits into new material. They kept the momentum going with 'Ballet Dancer', a collaboration with Turbo B of Snap!, and later put out their second studio album Put Your Hands Up in 2007. The double sided single 'Walking in Memphis' and 'Can Delight' spent several weeks at the top of the ClubRotation dance charts. Originally a trio of Sascha van Holt, Rico Bernasconi, and Mike de Ville, the project now runs under de Ville alone.
