About
Also known as: Mat Dusk
Matt Dusk has built a career out of making jazz feel effortless and timeless. The Toronto born vocalist signed with Decca in 2003 and broke through with his debut album Two Shots, which went gold in Canada on the back of a hit single written by Bono and The Edge. He followed that with a string of releases that earned him four gold and two platinum certifications across Canada and Poland, including My Funny Valentine: The Chet Baker Songbook, a lush tribute recorded with an eighty piece orchestra and guests like Arturo Sandoval and Emilie Claire Barlow. His duet album, released in different versions across Canada, Poland and Japan with local artists, topped the Canadian jazz charts for sixteen weeks and went platinum in Poland. His 2018 album JetSetJazz pays homage to the golden age of travel throughout the 1960s, and his Sinatra volumes found fresh audiences in Poland. More recently he has been turning TikTok requests into 1960s style jazz arrangements, covering everything from indie video game themes to Vocaloid tracks.
