About
Matt Fax, the stage name of French producer David Ciekanski, has been quietly stacking up a reputation as one of the more versatile names in progressive house and trance since his early teens. His sound sits at the intersection of deep, melodic textures and club ready energy, something you can hear clearly in tracks like "Careless", which clocked over 500,000 Spotify plays, and his celebrated remix of Gareth Emery's "Hands", which made Emery himself declare he was "such a big fan of this guy". He built early momentum through support from Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, and Gareth Emery, and became what Above & Beyond called the youngest guest mixer ever invited onto their Group Therapy radio show. Over the years he has released on labels including Anjunabeats, Armada Music, Colorize, and Gareth Emery's Garuda, while also picking up collaborations with artists like Jaytech and, more recently, BT on the 2024 track "Vertical". His output consistently blurs the line between dancefloor muscle and something genuinely emotional.
