About
Maya Delilah built her following the hard way, one bedroom livestream and TikTok at a time. When lockdown shut down her session work in 2020, she sat cross legged on floors and beds and played to her phone, and it worked. Two self released EPs, Oh Boy and It's Not Me, It's You, racked up more than 50 million streams, with Breakup Season featuring Samm Henshaw and Tangerine Dream leading the way. She sold out The Jazz Cafe in London on her first headline run. Blue Note Records came calling, and in 2022 she started releasing music there, starting with her take on Cassandra Wilson's version of Harvest Moon. Her debut album, The Long Way Round, landed in 2025 and hit number 2 on the overseas Billboard chart in Japan. She played Fuji Rock Festival there and joined Vulfpeck on stage in front of 50,000 people. Her sound mixes jazz, soul and pop, with Anderson.Paak, Tyler, The Creator, John Mayer and Derek Trucks among her influences.
