About
Also known as: Marian Mereba
Mereba writes, produces, and performs her own music, which puts her in rare company. The Atlanta based singer and rapper signed to Interscope Records in 2018 and released her debut album The Jungle Is The Only Way Out in 2019, a project she wrote and produced almost entirely herself. Singles like "Black Truck" and "Sandstorm" featuring JID showed off her ability to blend soul, rap, and something harder to pin down into a sound that feels completely her own. She has cited Stevie Wonder as a mentor and even performed alongside him in 2017. Her 2021 track "Glock Peaceful", which imagines a world without gun violence or police brutality, landed on season 5 of HBO Max's Insecure. More recently she signed with Secretly Canadian and released her second album The Breeze Grew a Fire in early 2025.
