About
Mia Negovetić first caught serious attention when she won the debut season of RTL Televizija's Zvjezdice in 2015, beating out the competition with her take on Beyoncé's "Listen". That same year she performed the Croatian national anthem at the 20th anniversary commemoration of Operation Storm, backed by the Croatian Armed Forces Band. Her reach quickly extended beyond Croatia when she appeared on NBC's Little Big Shots, again showcasing that Beyoncé cover to an international audience. Since signing with Croatia Records in 2020, she has released singles and competed in Dora multiple times, coming agonizingly close to the Eurovision spot in 2020 when her song "When it Comes to You" tied for first but lost on the tiebreak. She has also built a parallel career as a voice actress, dubbing the title role in Moana and Mirabel in Encanto for Croatian audiences. Her 2020 single "Pusti" hints at a pop sound she is clearly making her own.
