Mick Clarke has been grinding away at blues rock since 1968, and his CV reads like a who's who of the genre. As a founding member of Killing Floor, he shared stages with Howlin' Wolf, Freddie King, and Black Sabbath before the band called it quits in 1972, only to reunite more than three decades later. Over the years he has put out 22 solo albums and built a reputation as one of the UK's most consistent working guitarists in the blues tradition. His solo output covers a serious stretch of ground, from the Appaloosa Records albums of the 1980s through to collaborations with Lou Martin and sessions produced by the legendary Mike Vernon. He has toured Europe, the US, and even India, playing festivals alongside names like Johnny Winter, Bo Diddley, and The Yardbirds. Between 2014 and 2021 he released nine albums through BGO Records, which gives you a sense of just how relentlessly productive he has stayed.
