MIIA's breakout moment came when her single "Dynasty" caught the ear of Billboard and ended up soundtracking an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, turning the Norwegian singer into an international name almost overnight. Recorded in a Los Angeles studio when she was just 17, the song travelled far beyond Norway's borders, though it oddly never quite cracked her home country. Drawing inspiration from Adele, Sia and Lana Del Rey, her sound sits in a spacious, atmospheric pop territory. She kept building from there, releasing the debut EP Inner Voices Speaking in late 2023, packed with a string of singles. In 2024 she competed in Melodi Grand Prix with "Green Lights", reaching the grand final and finishing sixth, and that same year "Dynasty" got a fresh orchestral treatment alongside KORK.
