About
Named after Miles Davis, Miles Mosley is a bassist, vocalist, composer, and producer from Hollywood who moves with ease between jazz, rock, and soul. He is a founding member of the West Coast Get Down, the Los Angeles jazz collective that also counts Kamasi Washington, Terrace Martin, and Thundercat among its ranks. That crew became one of the most talked about forces in contemporary jazz, and Mosley has been right at the center of it. His bass playing is distinctive enough that it earned him a spot on Kendrick Lamar's landmark To Pimp a Butterfly, as well as Kamasi Washington's The Epic and Andra Day's Cheers to the Fall. His own solo work includes the single Abraham, released on Alpha Pup Records and World Galaxy, followed later by Brother through Universal Music and the Verve Label Group.
