Nottingham's MistaJam built one of UK radio's most recognisable presences over 15 years at BBC Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra, where his shows carved out a space for electronic and urban music that sat comfortably between the mainstream and the more specialist end of the dial. His 1Xtra slot ran Monday to Thursday evenings and became a genuine bridge across genres, while his Radio 1 show pulled double duty, broadcasting simultaneously on both stations every Saturday night. Beyond radio, he pops up in some unexpected places. He sang on Knife Party's 2012 track Sleaze and made it into the virtual world as the DJ voice for the Horizon Block Party station in Forza Horizon 4 and its sequel. After leaving the BBC in 2020, he moved to Capital Dance, where he has been driving the drivetime slot ever since.
