Mónica Coronado is a singer who builds her concerts around the pairing of voice and Spanish guitar, and she does it alongside Manito, a Gypsy flamenco guitarist. Together they perform a program called Melodías del Corazón, which leans hard into passion, longing and heartache. The set mixes existing songs with material she has written herself. Live, she has a knack for pulling people to the edge of their seats, helped along by a lot of personal charisma. Manito pushes her to dig deeper with his virtuoso playing, and he doesn't stick to one instrument either. During the shows he also picks up other stringed instruments, including the laud, the Spanish lute.
