About
Berlin's Monolink, the project of German singer songwriter and producer Steffen Linck, carves out a genuinely distinctive corner of electronic music by pairing live vocals with techno, ambient and electronica. SF Weekly put it well, calling him a purveyor of trippy relaxation delivered in a slightly gravelly, Teutonic voice. His debut album Amniotic landed in 2018 and drew comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan while still sitting firmly in the electronic space, with two singles from it hitting number one on iTunes Electronic in Germany. The follow up Atemlos came in 2021, and his third album The Beauty Of It All arrived in 2025. Along the way he has collaborated with Ben Böhmer, NTO and Acid Pauli, and in 2023 he played the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a moment that underlined just how far his blend of hypnotic beats and soulful songwriting has travelled.
