About
Monster Truck are a rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, and their breakout came fast. The 2011 EP The Brown EP got them noticed across Canada, and "Seven Seas Blues" cracked the top ten on both the active rock and alternative rock airplay charts in spring 2012. Their debut album Furiosity followed in 2013, and the band picked up the Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year that same year. Their songs have turned up in some unexpected places. "Seven Seas Blues" landed in NHL 13, "Righteous Smoke" in NHL 17, and "Old Train" in an episode of Orphan Black. "The Enforcer" became the goal song for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Along the way they opened for Alice in Chains, played Download Festival, and toured Europe with Vista Chino. Albums Sittin' Heavy, True Rockers (with Dee Snider on the title track) and Warriors came next, and Kid Rock even re recorded their track "Don't Tell Me How to Live".
