About
Mount Kimbie built their reputation on a sound that helped define post dubstep, with their early EPs Maybes and Sketch on Glass drawing serious critical attention before most people had even heard the term. Their 2010 debut Crooks & Lovers landed on over thirty end of year lists and was later named one of the defining albums of the decade by DJ Mag. After signing to Warp Records in 2012, the London duo of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos kept pushing their sound further, landing collaborations with James Blake, King Krule and Micachu across their second and third records, Cold Spring Fault Less Youth and Love What Survives. That third album in particular earned them a Pitchfork Best New Music nod and an 8.4 rating. Drummer Marc Pell and keyboardist Andrea Balency Béarn came aboard as live members in 2016 and became full members ahead of the fourth album, The Sunset Violent.
