About
Mr. Ferocious play what they call steampunk country, a rough and rowdy mix that runs from whisper quiet to full on noise, taking in murder ballads and country blues along the way. They work with cheap guitars, no cymbals, a stand up bass and a drum kit, and they have a 1975 Chevrolet Suburban as part of the package. The four members, Viktor Griffioen, Vincent van Warmerdam, Kees van der Vooren and Colin Linnekamp, all share a history with the Orkater theatre company. That past also includes a Dutch drumming championship, the project Gebakken Mannetje, an Edison nomination and the band Sadist. Their listening diet ranges from Motörhead and Tom Waits to Johnny Cash and Geese, which gives you a pretty good sense of the sprawl. They released their debut album MAN DON'T BREAK on vinyl.
