About
Mr JazziQ, born Tumelo Manyoni, is one of the key figures behind amapiano's rise from South African townships to global dancefloors. He first made his name as part of the DJ duo JazziDisciples before going solo, and his debut album 0303, released in March 2020, set the tone with tracks like "Askies" featuring Moonchild Sanelly, which went gold certified by RiSA. His output since then has been relentless. The collaborative album Maba Jabul' Abantu with Busta 929 brought together a stacked lineup including Riky Rick and Mpura, while his 2021 release Party With The English was a deliberate push to introduce amapiano to international dancefloors. He followed that up with All You Need Is Piano in 2022, featuring artists like Murumba Pitch and Lady Du. He also performed at the AmaFest Tour in the UK alongside Focalistic and Cassper Nyovest, making his case as one of the genre's most committed ambassadors abroad.
