My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult built their reputation on Chicago's industrial underground, releasing material through the legendary Wax Trax! Records before breaking into mainstream consciousness with the 1991 single "Sexplosion!", which cracked the top 10 on U.S. dance club charts. That success landed them a deal with Interscope Records, where they scored their biggest hit, "Sex On Wheelz", reaching the top 20 on both the dance club and alternative charts. Their 1993 album 13 Above the Night was their only entry on the Billboard 200, and it kept delivering on the dancefloor with "Blue Buddha" and "Final Blindness". The band also left their mark on some memorable film soundtracks, contributing the exclusive track "After the Flesh" to The Crow and appearing in the film itself. After stints on Red Ant and Rykodisc, they eventually moved to their own imprint, Sleazebox Records, keeping full control over a back catalogue that spans ten studio albums and a pile of remix records.
