About
Also known as: Quentin Lepoutre
Myd, the project of Lille born producer and DJ Quentin Lepoutre, has been quietly shaping a significant chunk of French electronic and rap music for well over a decade. You might know him as one quarter of Club Cheval, but his solo work is where things get genuinely interesting. Signed to the legendary Ed Banger Records since 2017, he blends house, indie pop and French electro into something that feels both dancefloor ready and oddly personal. His debut album Born a Loser arrived in 2021, featuring collaborations with Mac DeMarco, Juan Wauters and Bakar, and even spawned a bonus track made live on air with listeners of Radio Nova alongside French band L'Impératrice. Beyond his own records, Myd has co written rap hits for SCH, Lacrim and Alonzo, co produced Brodinski's debut album Brava, and scored the French film Petit paysan, earning him a César Award nomination for Best Original Music. During the COVID 19 lockdowns he ran a morning DJ stream called CoMyd 19 that Billboard voted Best Live Stream, which tells you a lot about his instinct for connecting with an audience.
