Myke Towers built his name the hard way, posting tracks to SoundCloud before Puerto Rico caught on and the rest of Latin America followed. His 2020 debut album Easy Money Baby hit number one on the Top Latin Albums chart and stayed there for 83 consecutive weeks, a run that announced him as one of reggaeton and trap latino's most consistent forces. The album also earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Urban Music Album. His second album Lyke Mike leaned into a fun bit of self mythology, referencing his old stage name and stacking exactly 23 tracks as a nod to Michael Jordan. By 2023 he had another massive moment when "Lala" went viral on TikTok and topped Billboard's Global 200 US chart, his first number one there. La Vida Es Una, the album it came from, featured a stacked lineup including J Balvin, Ozuna, and Daddy Yankee. He has since released two more albums, keeping a pace that few in his lane can match.
