Nathan Gunn is an American operatic baritone whose career has taken him through just about every major house you can name, from the Met and San Francisco Opera to the Royal Opera in London and the Paris Opéra. He's equally at home on the concert stage, including a guest spot with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas concert that drew 80,000 people and later aired on PBS. One of his standout moments was starring in the world premiere of Jennifer Higdon's opera Cold Mountain at The Santa Fe Opera in 2015, based on the celebrated Charles Frazier novel. Beyond his voice and theatrical ability, Gunn has become something of a crossover curiosity, landing on People magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list in 2008 and earning the nickname 'barihunk,' though he'd rather you call him a 'hunkitone.'
