About
Nathan Kofi wears a lot of hats, and they all orbit around music and culture. He is a music professional, cultural analyst with a master's degree, concept developer, and educator, with a particular focus on subcultural music and identity. On top of that he is a DJ and producer with 14 years of experience in the music industry, and a dedicated follower of nightlife culture. He founded De Lichting and previously served as artistic director of De School in Amsterdam. In the Sonic Journey project, he teams up with Derk Louwes to guide listeners through the history of electronic dance music, drawing connections between styles, pioneers, and the wider cultural threads that tie genres together.
