About
Nervosa have been reshaping their lineup almost as aggressively as their thrash and death metal riffs since forming in São Paulo in 2010. Founding guitarist Prika Amaral is the constant force behind the band, the one member who has been there through every shakeup, and since 2023 she has stepped up as lead vocalist too. Their catalogue spans five studio albums, from the debut Victim of Yourself through to Jailbreak in 2023, with each record marking a distinct chapter in the band's story. The revolving door of members has never slowed Nervosa down. When bassist Fernanda Lira and drummer Luana Dametto left in 2020 to form Crypta, Amaral rebuilt around an international lineup pulling in members from Spain, Italy and Greece. The 2021 album Perpetual Chaos featured guest spots from Schmier of Destruction and Eric A.K. of Flotsam and Jetsam. Their sixth studio album Slave Machine is set to drop on April 3, 2026, with the title track already out as the first single.
