About
Karen Ng is a Canadian alto saxophonist known for her work in the bands Do Make Say Think and The Weather Station. Beyond those projects, she moves comfortably through the world of free jazz, bringing a voice on the instrument that fits naturally into improvised and experimental settings. She has collaborated with musicians across North America and Europe, including guitarist Jonathan F. Horne, a Texas based player associated with Young Mothers and Water Damage, as well as Amsterdam rhythm section members Aaron Lumley on double bass and Nasim López Palacios Navarro on drums. That quartet plays under the name Ng, Horne, Lumley and Navarro.
