About
Nieuwe Blik Terug is a classical series fronted by Orville Breeveld, who works as a musician, presenter and documentary maker. The idea is simple but pointed: shine a light on composers and musicians who deserve to be better known than they are. Each edition picks a different thread to follow, so the programme shifts from one theme to the next. One edition focused on classical spirituals, music that grew out of the shadow of slavery yet kept reaching toward the light. Breeveld's background in both performing and filmmaking gives the series a storyteller's angle, treating overlooked repertoire as a story worth telling as much as music worth hearing.
