About
Noa Lee is a Belgian indie pop band built around vocalist and multi instrumentalist Nina Marie Kortekaas, who also has credits in Portland and The Radar Station, plus stints alongside Eefje de Visser and Admiral Freebee. The band blends English language indie pop with touches of jazz and progressive rock, and early on they cut their teeth opening for Arsenal and School is Cool. Their self titled debut EP landed in 2021, packaged with a short film that Kortekaas directed herself. Their debut album Airship followed in 2023, with the single "After Years" arriving first to set the tone. The record took shape during a residency at De Grote Post, an arts centre in Ostend. Singles like "Bleed" and "Elephant" rounded out the release, showing a band finding its footing with real confidence. Kortekaas has also built a parallel career as an actor, with roles in Professor T., Aspe and North Sea Texas.
