About
Noah Derksen is a Canadian singer songwriter who sits somewhere between folk, country and indie and doesn't much care to pick one. His voice is intimate but strong, and his writing leans on plain, unguarded honesty. He came up in Winnipeg's indie scene, then found his footing in cities like Montreal and Nashville. Along the way he was a finalist in SiriusXM's Top of the Country competition and was named Emerging Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. His fourth album, Mercy on the Skyline, looks at everyday life through down to earth songs that look for a bit of compassion in the middle of sadness.
