Non Est Deus is the black metal solo project of Noise, the Bamberg musician behind Kanonenfieber, and it was actually his first project before Kanonenfieber took off. Where Kanonenfieber zeroes in on World War I, Non Est Deus has a sharper philosophical edge, built around what Noise describes as the nonsense of fanatical religious practice. The name itself, Latin for "God does not exist", makes the stance pretty clear from the start. True to his approach with Kanonenfieber, Noise keeps his identity hidden here too, using alter egos and body covering suits to stay anonymous. The project has put out tracks including "Flagellation", "Burn It Down", "Save Us", and "Hiob", with "Prayer II" appearing in 2026, showing the project is still very much active.
