About

Also known as: Niet Uit Het Raam

NUHR, short for Niet Uit Het Raam, is a Dutch cabaret group made up of Joep van Deudekom, Peter Heerschop, Viggo Waas and Eddie B. Wahr. They got their first taste of national attention in 1987 when they made it to the finals of Cameretten, and from there built a loyal following among cabaret fans with a string of full evening theatre shows. Their debut full programme De Kift hit Dutch theatres in 1988, and they kept the momentum going with new productions throughout the nineties and into the following decades. What sets NUHR apart is their deliberate distance from political cabaret. They never saw themselves as commentators or message bearers, which gave their work a different flavour from most Dutch cabaret acts. Over the years they also collaborated under the name De Ploeg with various other performers, including Carice van Houten. The group has picked up several prizes, among them the Poelifinario in 2004 and again in 2016, as well as the Zilveren Raampje from Amsterdam theatre De Kleine Komedie.
