ODESZA

About

ODESZA built their reputation in electronic music the slow way, moving from underground buzz to Billboard 200 territory over a decade of steady releases. The Seattle duo, Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, first caught ears with their 2012 debut Summer's Gone, then cemented their sound across In Return and the Grammy nominated A Moment Apart, which peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 and topped the Electronic and Dance Albums chart. Their blend of lush, sample heavy electronic production sits somewhere between chillwave and progressive house, warm enough to soundtrack a GoPro ad and big enough to sell out the Staples Center. Their fourth studio album, The Last Goodbye, arrived in July 2022 via Ninja Tune and earned them another Grammy nomination for Best Dance and Electronic Album. Alongside their recording work, Mills and Knight run Foreign Family Collective, a label and creative outlet they founded to support emerging musicians and visual artists. The Last Goodbye features a collaboration with soul legend Bettye LaVette, proof that ODESZA keep finding new ways to push their sound outward.
